Hello and welcome to this week's newsletter

With regard to photo products, aside from the demise of Hasselblad's legendary V system medium-format cameras, the main news over the past few days concerns the launch of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LF1 which has an ISO range of 80-12,800, f/2 wideangle zoom and a built-in EVF. The company has also released the Lumix DMC-G6, which the company is keen to point out does not replace the G5.

Elsewhere, and in keeping with our 11 May second-hand equipment special issue, a new online used gear dealer called Camera Jungle has just opened for business.

If you're looking for new camera kit, we now have full, in-depth reviews of the Pentax MX-1 and Nikon D7100 online for you to read, plus an in-depth look at the features of the Sony NEX-3N review and our initial first look of this camera.

With the thought that the best camera is often the one you have on you, we've also taken a look at the best smartphone apps to help with taking shots with your mobile phone.
