Amazing Selective Color Timelapse Photography in Dubai Posted: 02 May 2013 01:09 PM PDT Presenting a city of sci-fi surrealism splashed with shades of neon orange, yellow, green, and blue, Richard Bentley‘s “Not Any Colour” is not your typical timelapse project. Featuring the already-impressive city of Dubai, the following nighttime timelapse sequence has been intricately edited with an unusual color selection technique that has resulted in a compelling contrast of darkness and bright pops of color. See the effect for yourself below (for those of you reading this by email, the timelapse can be seen here): Bentley used a Canon 5D Mark II with a Manfrotto tripod to capture his images, editing with LRTimelapse, After Effects, and Lightroom. According to Bentley, the color selection process was completed in Lightroom with paintstaking attention to detail:

Sports Photography Session to be Used for Composite Imaging Posted: 02 May 2013 11:20 AM PDT Photographing athletes is exciting, but can also be a challenge. To help create powerful, crisp images of the South Carolina Gamecocks football team, photographer James Quantz Jr. decided to the best plan of action would be to work with composite imaging. Using an assortment of studio lighting on location at the arena, Quantz ran the athletes through a variety of poses. Take a look at the video below for some behind the scene footage (for those of you reading this by email, the video can be seen here): Qauntz photographed the athletes individually during one on one shooting sessions. He then merged the individual portraits together using composite photography techniques to create the image you see below, as well as an assortment of images that will be used in various Gamecock promotional goods.
