Hello again, so what do we have for you this week? In product news Leica has warned of delays to the delivery of the new Leica M. Meanwhile, Pentax has been busy, unveiling the weather-resistant Pentax K-50 DSLR along with its K-500 sibling as well as the Q7 flagship CSC.

Elsewhere in the industry Kodak, which has been restructuring following its financial difficulties, has admitted that it is to stop producing acetate base for film. However, the company insists its current stocks 'will last years'. Regarding company's embroiled in difficulties, reports are that embattled Olympus has had its 'on-alert designation' removed from its shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Back on these shores, there's more good news in that the return of former Jessops outlets to the high road continues apace. The company has reopened its Harrogate branch just days after it revived the store in Ipswich - which means there are now 23 in the chain - and North West photo retailer Wilkinson has just opened a shop in the former Jessops outlet in Liverpool.

Finally, just to let you know that the AP 29 June will be accompanied by a free 68-page book - Advanced Photography Software Skills - along with a free image-editing software to download and atrial version digital filter suite.
