Photography is all about having fun and being expressive. Sure, it has a serious side – this week's Culture Show documentary on BBC2 showed just how powerful it can be in the right hands – but most of us pick up a camera because we love its immediacy and limitless creative potential.
The best camera is the one you have with you (clichéd but true) and the worst thing a photographer can do is think, 'If only I had my camera with me…' So while the sun is shining and the leaves are still on the trees, get out and have some photo fun! Now where are my shorts and sandals?
