Fujifilm last week added to its family of 'X' series interchangeable lens cameras with the X-A1, which comes in a range of colours.

Apple, meanwhle, has revamped the camera in its upcoming iPhone 5s, to include an 8-million-pixel sensor and f/2.2 lens.

Also last week, memory card producer SanDisk announced the Extreme Pro CFast 2.0, which the company claims will enable unprecedented speeds of data transfer.

Over in Japan a quirky police camera from the 1950s fetched £9,000 at a recent auction. The Doryu 2-16 pistol camera was designed for surveillance, mainly of crowds. However, I can't imagine it working that well. After all, who would hang around for their picture to be taken if they see a policeman point his gun in their direction?

That's it for this week. Bye for now.
