Welcome...
Retro is the future. The ball started rolling with Fuji's X-Pro1, a CSC that Practical Photography's James Abbott still clings to like a safety blanket. It picked up speed with Olympus' PEN family, which harked back to the '60s and the halcyon days of film. And now Nikon has joined the game with the Df (the f stands for fusion, apparently), which is essentially a D4 dressed as an F2. Will Canon look to the past also? The rumour mill suggests not, but never say never… watch this space.

News: Nikon go retro with the Df
If the idea of a Nikon D4 housed in a retro body floats your boat, the Df could be your perfect camera. An FX-format DSLR with the same image sensor as the D4, the Df's design is based on Nikon's 35mm film cameras. Compatible with the full range of Nikkor lenses, including vintage non-AI models, the Df kit even includes a special retro AF-S 50mm f/1.8G Nikkor lens.
