Welcome...
It's been a cracking week. On Monday we trekked to London and photographed buildings, Tuesday and Wednesday were spent scaling the heights of Snowdonia in the rain and snow, yesterday we documented a risqué fashion shoot in Essex, and today so far we've interviewed a policeman and eaten chocolate croissants. So despite the terrible weather (the heavens have just opened again as I write), we're forging ahead with new ideas, new issues and new videos. We can't wait to share this week's spoils with you, so stay tuned…

Nikon launches D3300
Nikon has announced the 24.2MP D3300. It features no optical low pass filter and has an expandable ISO range of 100-25,600. The latest Expeed 4 image processor also boasts 5fps continuous shooting. Paired with the D3300 is the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II lens, which weighs 195g and when retracted is just 59.5mm long. Lens VR (Vibration Reduction) is on hand for sharper shots and Nikon's Silent Wave Motor claims a smoother autofocus.

Sony shrinks it down with big-sensor CSC
Sony has come out with the A5000, a small CSC with some big features. It features a bigger, APS-C sensor, and body weighing 210g. Inside, you'll find the 20.1MP Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor and Bionz X processor. The ISO stretches to 16,000 and there's a 180° tiltable LCD screen to assist with awkward angles. The A5000 features wireless functionality in the form of Wi-Fi and NFC (Near Field Communication) with compatible smart devices.
