Tuesday 28 January 2014

Hello. What's been happening in the world of photography over the past few days?

Well, Fujifilm has unveiled the X-T1 system camera, claiming that its 'ultra-fast' EVF is as clear as an optical viewfinder. You can view our First Look video here.

Meanwhile, Canon has announced a new wireless A3 printer aimed at photo enthusiasts.

And it's congratulations to Brighton's Heather Buckley, who triumphed in the RHS Garden Photographer of the Year competition with her 'striking image' of foxgloves in gardens at Great Dixter House in Rye, East Sussex.

Finally, you may have seen the story regarding the photographer sacked for cloning out a distracting element – in this case a video recorder – from an image. Industry professionals have suggested that if he had merely cropped out the offending item he would still have a job. So was he right to be sacked for what some people might think of as a minor infraction? There's a debate on our forum, why not have your say?

See you next time.
