Tuesday 15 April 2014

Towards the end of last week Nikon announced its latest CSC in the shape of the Nikon 1 J4. The model builds on the specification of its predecessor - the J3 - with an increase to 171 AF points and the addition of built-in Wi-fi.

Elsewhere, AP News Editor Chris Cheesman has been digging deeper in a bid to shed some light on Getty's recent decision to allow free use of its photographs online. You can find out more, including comment from leading industry experts, in his full AP Investigation.

And finally, are you in the market for a new photo accessory and need some help narrowing down your options? We've grouped together some you can probably rule out in our list of 13 of the more bizarre photo accessories.

That's all this week.

April gallery competition - Look at me

We've already had some fantastic entries to this month's gallery competition on the theme 'Look at me'.

The idea is to show us an image which says something about you, be it self-portrait, a significant object or simply something you identify with.

The competition closes on the morning of May 1, so there's still time to enter and be in with a chance of winning a Manfrotto photo backpack.

Post your entries here
